Pictures 216.jpg

Under the guidance of director Julie Walworth and our Advisory Board, St. Stephen Preschool introduced two valuable programs. Our Lunch Bunch initiative offers students 60 minutes of additional social time to enjoy meals and play with peers. Additionally, the Extended Care program provides a flexible solution for families requiring additional care beyond our regular preschool hours.

St. Stephen Preschool Begins

Sept. 2006

By spring 2006, Jane prepared for retirement and graciously offered the Learning Center to St. Stephen. Following a collaborative agreement, St. Stephen Preschool was established. The growth was effortless as our cherished faculty—including Mrs. Carr, Mrs. Gubrud, Mrs. Andrews and Mrs. Erickson—remained dedicated to the preschool. We are deeply thankful to Jane for her legacy, which allowed us to sustain and expand upon her truly remarkable and inspired foundation.

Hyland Hills Learning Center

Jane Lynch first launched her Learning Center at St. Edward's Catholic Church, yet she eventually required more room for her growing program. She found an ideal setting at St. Stephen Lutheran Church and decided to move her operation there. Through Jane’s skilled leadership and her devoted teachers, the school successfully transformed into the beloved community cornerstone it is today.

St. Stephen Preschool adds Nature Preschool

September 2024

Under the guidance of directors Ashlie Keith, Julie Walworth, teacher Tess Harvieux and our Advisory Board, St. Stephen Preschool introduced a Nature Preschool Program.  This program provides a learning experience that encourages kids to be curious and explore the world around them.  Our goal for the children is to learn through play as well as create a life-long love of nature.
